  • Fabrics and Textile in Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Dubai’s textile souk is the closest thing you’ll find to the country’s traditional shopping culture. In a city where nothing is old, this bustling marketplace, right on the creek in Bur Dubai, can be a refreshing change of pace. Here, makeshift stalls are piled high with pashminas, saris, abayas, and kaftans in every color of the rainbow.

The clue’s in the name; that’s right, hundreds of different types of fabrics are on sale here. Local vendors will offer a glass of sugary tea while they show off their wares, all while assuring you that theirs are superior than those next door. Pull on your haggling coat and don’t buy anything at more than 50 percent of the original price.

Fabric is your best bet here, but you’ll find plenty of fake designer handbags, too. It’s a big industry in Dubai, and most bags are kept in secret storerooms. If you’re interested, insist that the bags be brought down to you, so you can view them in public. Then get haggling.

Make the whole day an experience by taking a traditional Abra boat across the creek from the Sabkha Abra Station (south of Baniyas Square) to Dubai Old Souk Abra Station. It’s one of the cheapest things to do in Dubai, with a one-way ticket costing just 1AED (25 cents).

We run a 500-square meter showroom in U.A.E, whereas one can find a wide collection of fabrics and textiles, spanning more than 40,000 samples across Classic, Modern, and Neoclassical styles for residential, commercial and contracts.

Additionally, we specialize in wallpaper, furniture, trimmings, upholstery, and re-upholstery, thus providing a full range of indoor appearance items. We therefore intend to create interior solutions and designs beyond customers’ greatest expectations.
